Strops and Stilettos 13

I have eaten far too many Ladurée macarons today and so I feel sickly as anything. But the sugar high is a must as I am gearing up to hit up some sample sale action this evening and so I need all the energy I can muster. The scoffing is of course in diametric opposition to the fact that I am off for some spa and sun action on Cyprus in like less than a month, a point that I have completely overlooked and have entirely forgotten to starve myself in preparation for bikini D-day. Oops. Thank heavens I came across www.starmela.co.uk, which is chock a-block full of darling Ibiza-style garb which can flow over the belly and hide all those lumps. I am all over a strapless smock-frock. I mean frankly who isn’t?

I also must blame my extreme state of mourning for the non-flu-related pig-out. Sometimes a little comfort eating is just so très necessaire. I am beyond devastated by the end of Mad Men this week. I mean, what on earth am I supposed to do without Betty Draper for my fash-spiration? I can’t think of a single other sartorial reference on telly that I could possibly follow, Gossip Girl can just sit right down. It is absolutely too dire. I might have to have another macaron to steady my panic. Just the one, mind. Beach ahoy and all that…
