Strops and Stilettos 4

Instyle - Strops and Stilettos 4

So this week I have mostly been running those shoes around town, because sometimes you you simply have to be seen out and about. My first stop was a swing by Harrods to catch up with Charlotte Ronson, who needed to talk me through her delightful spring line. If you are in want of a sexy bit of denim and punked up zip-i-fied cardie then look no further. She also told me about partying with that brother of hers in the east end although Lord knows she could not remember where or whence they’d been, it did sound jolly. Next stop was to sort out that hair on my head, which was threatening scarecrow status. I tripped off to see lovely gorgeous Leon at his eponymous salon (www.leonlondon.com). I cannot RAVE enough. He used all sorts of professional hair speak jargon about blending in layers and - my favourite thing – promised-crossed-his-heart to not cut too much off (he didn't at all) so I pranced out with bouncy curls and literally felt JUST like I had skipped out of salon. Well, because you know, I had.

Then I had to pop into Chanel to be shown their new exciting advert, of which I cannot breathe a WORD, but believe me it is TRES. When you are shown the new Chanel advert you go into their divine black and white petit lounge which is scented with No.5 and generally the best sitting room I’ve ever plonked myself down in. Ooooooh, I do just adore Chanel. And then in the midst of all this I had to premiere a couple of nouveau looks because it is March after all, and one cannot be tramping around all the time in last winter's garb. But before you shriek credit-chic-back-in-your-box-Mrs-Beckham, I will mostly be sporting my Stella McCartney for Red Nose Day Madonna T-shirt – you do have to go to TK Maxx for this, but then you can also pick up Nicole Farhi vest tops for a song, so I was all over it. I have also been given full marks for my new Marks and Sparks candy pink silk top, a snip at £29.95, but actually I don’t want to give out too much detail because, well, a girl can’t be sharing all her secrets.
