Right on the Marc
The highlight of New York Fashion Week
is without a doubt the Marc Jacobs show. I flew in just in time and arrived
alongside Stephanie Seymour, who looked drop dead gorgeous (wearing the most
phenomenal earrings, am still wondering if they were real diamonds as they put
a whole new perspective on the term 'chandelier'). Also wished I had more of an
aggressively fashionable outfit on in the wake of those flashbulbs! Other stars
included Helena Christensen, Lauren Hutton and the ubiquitous Posh looking like
a tanned twiglet and sporting a surprisingly chic new hair cut. Anyway, the show… was a combination
of Mary Poppins goes big in Japan! Little flat hats worn with bustle
skirts (forget it if you have a bottom already!), al teamed with brocade
jackets or Lurex blouses and obi belts. The shoes were dangerously spindly
things - but they did at least have a heel unlike seasons past! That's all for now folks let's see
how he fairs for the Marc line... watch this space.
