Camden on Sea

Instyle - Camden on Sea

After the mayhem of Pacha’s opening night I was all about a bit of poolside R and R on Saturday avo before bucking myself up for another evening’s entertainment. As it goes I was wise to do so, as the night involved a lot of rocking and rolling. Why you ask? Pourquoi? The Xbox 360 sponsored Ibiza Rocks Hotel opening is why. A cheeky little place in San Antonio, part student hall (and the place is covered in X boxes for their gaming pleasure – how the kids were loving it), part trendy egg chairs, part massive central pool and a lot of leisure pirates rounded up from Camden High Street and shipped over it would seem. Regrettably they also bought the rain with them, shockingly it poured and poured and poured - in the words of Lionel Richie – all night long. Didn’t stop those cheeky skinny jeaned-up cats leaping around in the rain though to The Enemy’s headlining set – how good were they? VERY. I love them so, I really do. On our VIP balcony we were joined by bronzed, raining queen of ‘beefa, Jade Jagger and what seemed like half of London, I could say it was the place to be, but I’m not really about being so explicitly cheesy. Once Zane Lowe and Maximo Park had wrapped up their respective DJ sets it was time to head offski and back to the palatial mansion that was my adopted abode. And then the party really started, but that my friends is a story for another day...
