No rain in Spain

Spending two days in sunny Barcelona was the perfect antidote to last week's London rain and wind. Our flight was delayed (it was from Heathrow after all) but before we were shuttled from the airport to the hotel, we had a pit stop at the Calle Pelayo Mango Store to pick up some goodies to wear during our whistle-stop tour.
I went for a basic stripy nautical style tee (good for layering), a vintage-look gold faux crocodile skin clutch (for the party that night), a cream broderie anglais sundress, a balloon-sleeved white cotton shirt from the limited edition range and some very useful black patent espadrilles (perfect with my Made in Heaven flared Marrakech jeans). The clutch, wedges and tee all proved popular with us journalists and had to be re-stocked after we left.
So on to the show a champagne reception in a circus-themed tent it was fully packed but I managed to rub shoulders with Lauren Hutton, who looked gorgeous in her green gown. After an hour of refills (dangerous when wearing Miu Miu ultra high heels) we went into the big top, to the front row and spotted Monica Cruz opposite. A trapeze artist entertained the crowd and then it was on to the show Lily Cole opened with fellow London girls of the moment, Irina Lazareanu and Alice Dellal. There was fantastic outerwear - black leather biker jackets, checked cropped sleeved and cocoon coats styled up with dozens of diamante cuffs. I spied a great lilac elbow-length cardi, perfect for a layered ladylike look with a ruffled blouse underneath.
The show ended and the canapés began mini burgers, cold pea soup, white bait - all delicious. At 12pm pm they announced Blondie in the big top and I was so excited shes my all time icon and didnt disappoint "Maria", "Heart of Glass", "Rapture", "Call Me", all the hits were there and Im not ashamed to say I was right at the front singing and dancing my soles off.
I fell into bed at 1pm wishing I was Blondie circa 1984, Mango black leather biker jacket in hand.
