Daphne Guinness's extravaganza auction
Ok, so I'm blogging live from the auction room in Pall Mall where the much-acclaimed Daphne Guinness sale is about to take place. There is a palpable air of excitement and in typical fashion style it's running late. A motley crowd of fashion wannnabees and hawk-eyed 'vintage' boutique owners crowd the room along with the odd stylist. Let's face it, anyone who's anyone wouldn't be doing their own bidding!
There are 150,000 hits online so far as the auction is live on eBay, too.
We're being given our instructions, paddles at the ready, and we're off...
Lot 1: a selection of Chanel shoes - going, going, gone for £165 - bargain!
