C'est chic!

Instyle - C'est chic!

Last night the fashion pack flocked to the uber-chic corner of the Left Bank to celebrate the shiny new YSL store - all glass, mirrors with red lacquer and chic stone flooring. Guests were treated to the obligatory champagne and raspberry macaroons from Laduree as well as small squares of toast with caviar. I had a gossip with my old school friend, Charlotte Stockdale, and a delicously-scruffy collection of uber-cool French Vogue photographers. Sadly missed designer Stefano Pilati by a moment or two, having arrived around a little late thanks to the delayed Vivienne Westwood show.

The clothes, although utterly delectable, were very much secondary to the party. Or perhaps (more likely) the punters on the night were too cool for school to take a serious interest! Personally I fancied myself in a puce silk dress or simple grey marle sweat top, but as I joked with Anoushka (the UK PR), a little pricey for working out in at 590 Euros! A compelling shopping environment? You better believe it, somehow I'll be back (if not for the dress, then for certain the shoes!).
