Another Day, Another VIP Pass

Instyle - Another Day, Another VIP Pass

After a fabulous morning exploring the delights of Ryde (including a shopping trip for incense and scarves to give my room the spirit of the 1970 Isle of Wight festival, where Jimi Hendrix played to a field of flower children) Team NME made it onto the site. After wandering round the Travel Inn I bumped into the adorable Amy Winehouse who was off to get some lunch before her much anticipated stage debut. She is such a sweet girl, so petite but with a big, warm, lively personality. Amy even suggested we go out for a drink after her set, I can't wait. She parties as hard as she works on stage.

Amy's look was pretty typical of all the stylish girls I've seen today; denim hotpants, cute vest top, pretty bra straps showing, and flat shoes. Another very stylish girl I met was legendary guitarist from the Clash Mick Jones' daughter Lauren, who was wearing the most gorgeous fuschia playsuit, I take back everything I said! If the weather's good and you're doing VIP then of course you can work the playsuit look.

Later, I watched Aussie classic rockers Wolfmother in the guest area by the side of the stage and couldn't believe what a celeb fest it was (considering in the guest area you have to pay for your own beers). Lucy Davies from the Office was hanging out next to the Mighty Boosh's Noel Fielding. Lucy looked very pretty and waved her hair for the occasion. The fabulous Noel Fielding shrilled at me "Elizabeth! You're seeing the Stones tomorrow, right!" And demanded a high five to confirm my answer. It was great to hang with a genuine music fan.

My final celeb sighting of the night has been, would you believe it, Hollywood A Lister Rosario Dawson, who was enjoying a drink in the pub next to the Travel Inn with a friend. She was dressed quite low key, but her stunning looks and bone structure made everyone notice her all the same.
