It's All Wight!

Instyle - It's All Wight!

It's come around way too soon but here I am, the day before my first festival, the hippie love-in that takes place on the Isle of Wight

It's actually the perfect festival to coax you into the season, because of its clean and beautiful stetting, and, most importantly, there is only one stage. So instead of running around the festival site like a crazy trying to see twelve bands on five different stages ,you can just hang out in front of one, which saves a lot of energy.

Even better, because the festival is a bit smaller and VIP areas are actually full of groovy, glamorous types. Last year, the Queen of London, Kate Moss, was hanging out with the rest of us mere mortals in her wonderful embroidered cape, before running on stage to introduce the headliners Primal Scream. She really is a living legend and it's always a major thrill to be anywhere near her.

This year, I am beside myself with excitement about seeing my favourite band,
The Rolling Stones headline on Sunday night. Rumour has it Amy Winehouse and Mick Jagger will duet, which is bound to be spellbinding.

To get me in the mood for both the Stones and the most glamorous hippie festival, I have been using some gorgeous products made by Jo Wood, Rolling Stones' guitarist Ronnie's beautiful wife. If you haven't heard already, Jo has produced a luxurious organic beauty range consisting of bath oils, body lotions, soaps and body dews. Everything smells how I imagine a wonderful market in Marrakech to smell. Jo has used ingredients like cardamom, cedar wood and ginger. Her Body Dews are the perfect fragrances to wear at a festival because they're so natural and work really well in the open air.

I met Jo once at an exhibition of Ronnie Wood's paintings at Harrods and she has the most beautiful skin - she's even prettier up close and looks so much younger than in photographs. The best advertisement for her own products, I reckon! It's come around way too soon but here I am, the day before my first festival, the hippie love-in that takes place on the Isle of Wight.
