Not So Saintly

Instyle - Not So Saintly

Last night something extraordinary happened. Two of Britain's most critically acclaimed DJ acts: Stunners International and Yo Yo, were extracted from their native regions, the former being trawled across from East London and the latter from the west and plonked in, well, Chelsea. Ordinarily the most likely decks to be found on the Kings Road are those accompanied by the word 'shoes' and found on young chaps' feet. However, one of our most style-conscious and design-led brands on the high street, All Saints, succeeded in bringing these acts head-to-head on Sloaney soil.

All Saints were keen to break away from the standard "store re-launch lunch-party" and show their guests a champagne-guzzling good time. Starting at 7pm and going on until midnight, the downstairs level of the store was transformed into an underground nightclub. Dancing in between low-slung, wide-leg turn-up trousers and metallic, racer back vests, the skills of Stunners International and Yo Yo were being appreciated in equal measure. Hats off to All Saints. If all store re-vamp launch parties were as good as theirs, then fashionistas across Britain would be demanding the return of C&A.
